Very sadly,

the University of East Anglia, Norwich, UK has taken the decision to close all its courses in Person-Centred and Experiential Therapy. Its pioneering training in Focusing-Oriented Psychotherapy, recognised by the Focusing Institute, will also cease to run at the end of this academic year, as will all the counselling and focusing skills certificate level courses.

Students on the Diploma in Counselling will be permitted to progress to the MA,

but 2017-18 is the last year that this option will be available.

The School of Education has hosted Person-Centred and Experiential training for the past 25 years and supported many events that were run by the Centre for Counselling Studies, including the hosting of PCE 2008, the international conference of the World Association for Person-Centered Psychotherapy and Counseling (WAPCEPC) and several smaller Focusing conferences, including on Gendlin’s A Process Model in 2009.
