TRANSFORMATIONAL TALK:
WHAT DO WORDS DO TO EXPERIENCE?
LECTURE BY DONATA SCHOELLER
FREE ATTENDANCE
“Speaking from our experience can be difficult, at times even impossible. On the other hand we know from therapy, creative work and every-day-life, how powerful and transformative the expression of experience can be. Drawing on the cognitive sci- ences, as well as on phenomenology, classical pragmatism and Gendlin’s philosophy, I will inquire into the depth of meaning of ordinary language as well as the intricacy of ordinary experience. If both interact in finding words for our experiences, we gain surprising insights that change the way we feel, think and act.”

A PROCESS MODEL
WORKSHOP
WITH DONATA SCHOELLER
“We will use the workshop to „practice“ our way into the basic concepts of A Process Model. Through our experience we will understand how helpful Gendlin’s concepts are in making explicit what we know in tacit, experiential ways. This will help us to speak about Focusing and about the powerful change we experi-ence in this practice in new ways, without falling into dualisms between mind and body, thinking and feel-ing, objective and subjective etc. Finally, we might experience how A Process Model broadens our own practice of Focusing.“
